O estudo literário de Pedro Alfonso Morales é necessário para definir as suas contribuições estéticas que marcam as fronteiras da nova narrativa do século XXI. Neste trabalho identificamos os contributos literários para a narrativa nicaraguense, através da análise de três obras do nosso autor: 'León es hoy a mí, Pancho Ley y las Ceguas (cuentos Teliqueños) y El país de las aguas'; bem como o tipo de linguagem utilizada nas três obras; assim como a extensão das suas narrações; que são contos.
