Los novios es la obra más conocida del escritor italiano Alessandro Manzoni, quien la publicó inicialmente con el nombre de Fermo y Lucia en 1823, y que posteriormente modificó y publicó por entregas desde 1840 a 1842. Cuenta la historia de una pareja de prometidos, Renzo y Lucia, dos humildes campesinos que tendrán que enfrentarse a don Rodrigo, el señor del lugar, quien encaprichado con Lucía, tratará de separarlos urdiendo toda clase de maquinaciones criminales contra la pareja.
