Microcrystalline arthropathies include the following three pathologies:- gout caused by precipitation of sodium urate crystals; - chondrocalcinosis caused by precipitation of calcium pyrophosphate crystals;- chondrocalcinosis, caused by precipitation of calcium pyrophosphate crystals; - apatitic rheumatism, caused by the deposition of calcium hydroxyapatite. These pathologies often require radiological exploration for early diagnosis, follow-up or the search for complications, in order to optimize therapeutic management and consequently improve the patient’s functional prognosis. The aim of this clear, educational book is to provide a radiological, ultrasound, CT and MRI semiology of microcrystalline arthropathies, richly illustrated with numerous demonstrative diagrams. This book is intended for radiology interns and practicing physicians.
