La poesía que, agrupados en el Taller literario 'César Vallejo' de la Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, realizan jóvenes venidos de distintas provincias, y la que viene después, es la que el colega Pedro Granados enjuicia de manera muy novedosa en Breve teatro para leer: poesía dominicana reciente. Por ser una obra que clasifica, contextualiza estéticamente las nuevas corrientes de la poesía dominicana de las últimas décadas creo que es un esfuerzo de incalculable valor. Pocas veces se mira desde fuera a la poesía dominicana, que parece quedar detrás de otras en la literatura hispanoamericana. Las recuperaciones esteticistas o neorrománticas de los poetas del César Vallejo y la difusión que ha tenido su obra es analizada aquí por Granados, sin que le falte la chispa política, sin que podamos ponernos de acuerdo en la totalidad de sus juicios.
