'Robustiano Vera fue un abogado y escritor chileno, con más de cien libros publicados. Entre su inmensa obra desarrolló este volumen, que recogía la mayor parte de información existente de historia de Honduras hasta 1999, su fecha de publicación. Como documento de referencia tiene un gran valor, ya que posee una enorme cantidad de datos sobre el periodo colonial e inicios de la vida independiente, de fuentes primarias o cercanas a las mismas', José Azcona Bocock, director ejecutivo de Colección Erandique. ROBUSTIANO VERA. Nació en Chile en 1844; falleció en 1916. Abogado y escritor. Fue cónsul general ad honorem de Honduras y Nicaragua. Entre su extensa obra publicada están: Teorías del Derecho Penal; Códigos de Minas; Artículos Literarios; Estudios Jurídicos; Prontuario del Juicio Criminal; Código Civil de Chile y La colonia de Magallanes.
